In India, evergreen forests are found in the western slopes of the Western Ghats in States such as Kerala and Karnataka. They are also found in hills of Jaintia and Khasi. Some of the trees found in Indian Tropical Forests are rosewood, mahagony and ebony

these forest are found in areas of heavy ☔ exceeding 250cm. they are found mainly on the western slopes of the western ghats and hills of north eastern states of assam, nagaland, meghalagy, tripura, mainpur and Andaman Nicobar island
these forest are dense and the trees grow to a great height. the trees are plants donot shed their leaves during the year at the same time. Hence they are evergreen.
The important trees are Teak, rosewood, ebony, mahogany, gurjan and champa.
