Earthquake : It is a sudden release of energy accumulated in deformed rocks causing the ground to shake.
Migration measures : Structures must not be build on soft soil because buildings build on soft soils are more likely to get damaged even if the earthquake is not particularly strong in magnitude.

Landslides : These are slippery masses of rock, debris which move by force of their own weight down mountain slopes or river banks.
Migration measures : Retaining walls can be built to stop land from slipping . Increasing vegetation cover is also a cheapest and most effective way of arresting landslides.

Cyclones : Cyclones are violent storms, of vast extent, characterized by high winds rotating about a calm center of low atmospheric pressure. This center moves onward, often with a velocity of 50 km an hour.
Migration measures : Multi-purpose cyclone shelters with suitable designs need to be constructed in appropriate locations in coastal areas. Engineered structures that can withstand wind forces - need to be built .
