Sometimes, these tissues also contain chlorophyll and perform photosynthesis, and known as chlorenchyma. In case of aquatic plants, parenchyma is modified into aerenchyma. Aerenchyma is the tissues having large air cavities which provides buoyancy to the plants and help them to float.
