• Reign of Terror was a period in France which was the most dangerous period in the French History.

• The period was started from 1793 to 1794 under the ruler Maximilian Robespierre.He followed a policy of brutal repressions and punishments.

• All those people whom he sees as enemies were arrested,executed and killed by a Revolutionary tribunal called Guillotine.He also imposed strict punishments.

• Robespierre's government issued laws placing a minimum charge on ceiling on wages and prices.Meat and bread and also other essential items were rationed.The use of flour was forbidden,Churches were shut down and buildings were transferred to barracks and offices.

• The French people were called as Monsieur and Madame in the period of Reign of Terror rather than sir and Madam to impose the traditional identity of French people.

• Robespierre was finally convicted by a court in July 1794, arrested and on the very next day he was killed by the method of Guillotine.
