Acceleration is a measure of the change in the velocity of an object per unit time.That is:-
acceleration = change in velocity/time taken.

Its types are:-
①uniform acceleration
②non uniform acceleration .
①Uniform acceleration:- If an object travels in a straight line and its velocity increases of decreases by equal amounts in equal intervals of time ,then the acceleration is said to be in uniform acceleration.
②Non-uniform acceleration:- An object can travel in non-uniform acceleration if its velocity changes at a non-uniform rate.
