Acceleration:

»Acceleration is the change of velocity of a body.

»It is a vector quantity

»It is measured in m/s²

Mathematically it is represented as,

 \boxed{\sf{a = \frac{v - u}{t} }} \\ \\

★There are two types of acceleration:

Positive Acceleration:

If the velocity of the body is in the same direction with respect to acceleration,it is said to be positive.

Negative Acceleration:

•Velocity opposite to the direction of acceleration is known as Negative Acceleration

•It is also called as Retardation.

•It is experienced when a body comes to halt

Instanteous Acceleration:

Acceleration of a body at a particular instant of time interval

Hope it helps you!!!
