Answer:

acceleration = 8ms per second

Explanation:

acceleration :- acceleration can be defined as the rate of change of velocity. or change in the velocity of an object in unit time.

Example :- An object at rest gain an average velocity of 40meter per second in 5 second. what will be its acceleration?

it's initial velocity is zero. it's velocity after 5s is 40ms per second.

Time taken by it to change its velocity from zero to 40ms per second is 5s.

Formula

a =  \frac{v - a}{t}

Therefore the rate of change of velocity

= 40ms per second 4 / 5 second = 8ms per second

Acceleration = 8ms per second
