acidity of a terminal alkyne is due to the high level of a character in the SP hybrid of metal which burns with a s orbital of the hydrogen atom to form a single covalent bond

THESE TYPES OF ALKYNES ARE WEAKLY ACIDIC .THE ACIDITY OF A TERMINAL ALKYNE ISDUE TO THE HIGH LEVEL oF CHARACTER IN THE SP HYBRID OBTICAL WHICH BONDS WITH THE ORBITAL OF THE H2 ATOM TO FROM A SINGLE COVALENT ATOM...............!!!!!!
