Explain adaptations of polar bear and penguins.​

Their white fur gets camouflaged against the white background of snow protecting it from predators and also helps them catch their prey. Two thick layers of fur act as an insulator protecting them from the surrounding harsh climate. In order to avoid getting overheated they move slowly and rest often.

Adaptations of penguins :-

  • A penguin hunches its head into its shoulders to maintain its streamlined shape and reduce drag while swimming.
  • Its keeps its feet pressed close to the body against the tail to aid in steering.
  • Penguin wings are paddle-like flippers used for swimming.
