They are present in many parts of the body  adrenal glands (also known assuprarenal glands) are endocrineglands that produce the number of types of hormones including adrenaline and the steroids aldosterone and cortisol. They seen nearer to the kidneys. Each gland has an outer cortex which also produces steroid hormones and an inner medulla.
