Present tense

Simple present= Subject+verb(present form)+object

example = I eat rice.

Present Continuous= Subject+am/is/are +verb(present form) +ing + object.

example= I am eating rice.

Present Perfect = Subject+ has/have + verb(past participle) +object.

example=I have eaten rice.

Present Perfect Continuous= Subject+has/have +been +verb(past participle)+ing+ object.

example= I have been eating rice.

Past tense

Simple past= Subject+verb(past form)+ object.

example= I ate rice.

Past Continuous= Subject + was/were +verb(past form)+ing+object.

example= I was eating rice.

Past Perfect= Subject+had+verb(past participle)+ object.

example= I had eaten rice.

Past Perfect Continuous= Subject + had +been+ verb(past participle)+ing+object.

This tense express an action that started in past and continued to present or recently ... I have been watching the movie since 3 O'clock . ... They have been using their car for five years.
