Explain all the factors which affect the rate of evaporation

The factors which are responsible for the rate of evaporation are as follows :

1. Temperature : The rate of evaporation depends upon the temperature, as the temperature rises , the rate of evaporation increases.




2.Humidity : The amount of water vapour present in the air is called humidity. When humidity increases the rate of evaporation decreases.


3.Wind : Evaporation increases with an increase in wind speed.


4. Surface area : The rate of evaporation increases with an increase in surface area.
