Explain all the three types of elections being held in India.

(1). General Election :- These elections are conducted for electing the members of lok sabha.

(2). Assembly Election :- The state assembly elections in India are the elections in which the Indian voters choose the members of the vidhan sabha (or state / legislative assembly ).

(3). Rajya Sabha :- The member of rajya sabha are elected by the governing body of each state and union territory.

There are major 3 types of election in india:

General Election: In this election indian voter elect member of parliament (MP) for Lok Sabha (lower house of parliament). MP from party/coalition who won majority (more than 50%) seat elect prime minister and form central government.

Legislative Assembly: The process is same but this is for state level and voter elect member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) and then Chief minister of state elected by MLAs of majority seat holder party.

Local body election: In this election voter elect local body head as Village head (Gram pradhan) and in cities Mayer and Chairman.
