Aim:

To show that liquids exert equal pressure on the wall of container at a particular depth.

Requirements:

Water/Liquid filled bottle, experimentation tray, pin

Setup:

The liquid is filled in the bottle and kept on the experimentation tray. With the help of a pin , 2 small but equal sized holes are made on the wall of the container.

Observation:

Water/liquid comes out the bottle through the hole and follows Projectile motion (height-ground Projectile) and reached the experimentation tray.

Conclusion:

Hence , liquids exert pressure on the wall of the bottle as a result of which the liquid flowed out of the bottle into the tray.

And liquid exerts equal pressure on both the sides because water came out with the same speed from both the sides and followed the same path.

Also , with increasing depth the pressure of the water column increases.

\boxed{ \sf{pressure = \rho \times g \times h}}
