• When the oxygen concentration is more outside a cell, then by the process of diffusion the oxygen will pass into the cell.

• Diffusion can be described as a process in which molecules move from a higher concentration to a lower concentration i.e. along a concentration gradient. Hence, this process does not require energy.

• When the oxygen concentration will be more in a cell then again through diffusion the oxygen will move out of the cell.
