Kingdom of France. France under theAncien Régime (before the French Revolution) divided society into threeestates: the First Estate (clergy); theSecond Estate (nobility); and the ThirdEstate (commoners). The king was considered part of no estate.

in the 18th century the French society was divided into 3 states. the three states were as follows :
first estate clergy
2nd estate nobles
third estate common people

Clergy
The people who were related to church and religious works were classified as Clergy.

Nobles
Those people who were soldiers and fought for the kingdom were the members of 2nd estate that is Nobility.

Common people
This estate was comprised of all the common peoples like businessmen, merchants,farmers, artisans, peasents. They were forced to serve the king and the royal family.
