storage device: a piece of computer equipment on which information can be stored.

different port:

· External devices are connected to a computer using cables and ports.
· Ports are slots on the motherboard into which a cable of external device is plugged in.
· Examples of external devices attached via ports are the mouse, keyboard, monitor, microphone, speakers, etc.

Hi,

Storage devices are those which store your files in your computer.They are generally Hard Disk Drive (HDD) but nowadays a new technology came up known as SSD (Solid State Drive) They are much faster than HDD because the use memory chips unlike HDD which use magnetic platters to store data.

HDD and SSD can be connected with the help of Serial ATA (SATA) ports the SATA cable's one end is connected to the storage device and the other end to the motherboard.

SATA Connector Image is below the end which has two connector is connected to the HDD and other end is connected to the Motherboard
