explain and illustrate the heat zones of the earth
Answers
Answer:
Heat zones are the different zones of the earth, where the sun's rays fall differently, thus causing different climate patterns. These zones are called the Torrid Zone, the two Temperate Zones, and the two Frigid Zones. ... The Temperate Zones maintain a moderate climate, and the Frigid Zones are extremely cold.
There are Three types of zone.
- Torrid
- Temperate
- Frigid
Torrid zone- This is that zone of earth's surface which receives the maximum amount of heat because this zone is present between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn. This region or area receives the direct and vertical sun rays for the whole year.
Temperate zone- Temperate' means moderate. Hence, places outside the torrid zone experience slanting rays of the Sun and receive less heat. These areas are known as temperate zones. In the Northern Hemisphere, the area between the Tropic of Cancer and Arctic Circle is known as the north temperate zone.
Frigid zone- The coldest zone of the Earth is known as the Frigid Zone. It receives very less heat because the rays of the Sun are very slanted here. The North Frigid Zone lies between the Arctic Circle and the North Pole, while the South Frigid Zone lies between the Antarctic Circle and the South Pole..
