Explain any 3 merides of democratic govt over diactarship

Merits of democracy over dictatorship:

1. People are entitled to various political, civil and social rights such as right to freedom of speech and expression, right to equality, right to life and personal liberty etc. which is not the case in a dictatorship.

2. People are free to elect their rulers and change them according to their will whereas, in a dictatorship, they have no choice but to work under the brute force of the dictator.

3. People have the right to participate in the governance of the country and run it according to their best interests; on the other hand, they are bound to follow all orders that the dictator commands in his own interest in a dictatorship.
