1. from the Assam oil fields to kanpur via guwahati , barauni and allhabad . it has branches given below .
a . Barauni to haldia ( via rajbandh).
b. Rajbandh to maurigram.
c. Guwahati to siluguri.
2. these are also used for transporting crude oil , petroleum products and natural gas from oil and natural gas fields to Refineries , fertilizers factories and thermal power plants .
3. pipelines are mostly used in transport water to cities and industry.
4. solids can also be transported through pipeline who converted into slurry.
