ii. It is based on ‘political equality’.

iii. Democracy provides dignity to every individual by giving various ‘rights to the individual’.

In October 1999 General Musharraf had led a military coup and overthrown a ‘democratically elected government’. He called himself the ‘Chief Executive’ of the country and later changed it to being called the President of the country. That is why it cannot be called as true democracy.
