Causes of Industrial Revolution in India

Industrial Revolution came to India in 1854 when the first Steam powered cotton mill was set up in Bombay. Till 1850 and 1860 cotton mills were set up in Bengal, Bombay and Ahmedabad.

In 1868 , Jamsetji Tata founded the Tata Industries in India. But during the First and Second world war there was no any development in the industries.

The period between 1770- 1850 was a growth of Industrialisation in India.
