it is very fertile in nature
it has lots of nutrients.
it is found in western ghats
it consist of sand silt and clay
it is suitable for growing wheat ,rice ,etc

The characteristics of Alluvial soil are:
(a) It is light and porous and hense can be tilted easily.
(b) It is a fertile soil as it is rich in minerals, especially in potash and lime.
(c) It consists of sand,silt and clay.
(d) It is the most fertile soil.
(e) It is found in the Northern Corridor of Gujurat and Rajesthan.
Areas Found:- Entire Northern plains with deposits from 3 important Himlayan river system that are THE INDUA, THE BHRAMAPUTRA AND THE GANGAS.
