The major cause for loss of wild resources in our nation are

• Degradation of The Ecosystem: The terrestrial ecosystem is being degraded due to deforestation, forest fires, use of pesticides and insecticides, among others. The aquatic system is being degraded due to by soil and falling stones due to explosions from construction. Also drying of water beds due to no rains (because of deforestation and less flora) where aquatic animals live results in loss of these aquatic animals.
• Loss of Habitat: Natural Habitats are being ruined owing to human activities such as construction, extension of agricultural work, deforestation, and so on
• Loss of Mobility: Deterioration of the natural habit has led to the loss of mobility for animals and birds. The space available for animals and birds for roaming freely has been limited, as such animals confine themselves within the little space available, which affect their lives.
• Declining Vegetation: Cultivation of land has been expanded due to rising population. Also, urbanization has been expanding and with pasture lands being used for grazing has all impacted the forests, natural vegetation, etc thus affecting the biodiversity

• Trade: Hunting and poaching of animals, especially endangered animals and birds for trade purposes and for making products used by humans has resulted in decline of these wild creatures.
