- Directly or indirectly Farming is the major activity of rural india, 75% of the people who are working are dependent on farming for livelihood.
- In many families, Dairy is common activity.
- Many rural areas are known for small scale manufacturing industries.
- In some rural areas we can see shops(trading), shopkeepers buy products from wholesale markets and sell it in village.
- Transportation is another activity that can be seen in rural areas, rickshawallahs, tongawallahs, jeep, tractor, truck drivers are people in transport services.
