The four ways of soil conservation are-
1. Terrace Farming: It is a method in which hill slopes are used as cultivable land. The slopes are cut into terraces to grow the crops.
2. Contour Ploughing: It is a method in which the farmer ploughs along a slope rather than up and down of the slope. It reduces soil erosion to a great extent.
3. Afforestation: It is the planting of trees on large scale.
4. Strip cropping: It is also practised in which different crops are grown on parallel narrow strips of land.
