The six changes made by the Bolsheviks after the October Revolution were : 1. The Bolsheviks were totally opposed to private property Therefore most industries and banks were nationalised. 2. Land was declared social property and peasants were allowed to seize the land of the nobility. 3. Use of old titles of aristocracy was banned. It marked the end of the system of privileges, thus creating a classless society. 4. All policies were directed to achieve the socialist idea, "from each according to his capacity, to each according to his work:" Work was now an essential requirement for everyone as there was no unearned income to live on. 5. By adoption of Decree of Peace, Russia withdrew from World War I. 6. Russia unilaterally renounced all the unequal treaties which the Tsar's government had imposed on countries such as China, Iran and Afghanistan. The right of all peoples to equality and self determination was proclaimed.
