Heya friend !!
Here's your answer :-
Causes of the French revolution :-
* Exercise of despotic power by King Louis XVI and collection of huge taxes by him in order to meet the expenses of his extravagant court .
* Unfair division of French society into three estates where the third estate faced lot of discrimination and inequality . It had to be the one to bear all the taxes and moreover it was given only one vote despite outnumbering the other two estates.
* Increasing population led to increase in the demand for foodgrains and bread ,which was their staple diet . Moreover, crops also failed due to harsh climatic conditions .This, in turn, led to enormous rise in the prices and the poor peasants found it difficult to buy food.
Hope that helps !
