Panchayats makes the village clean. -- panchayats build wells, schools, post office, roads, buildings etc. -- They provide water facilities, study facilities, transport facilities to the villagers. -- They provide general things to the villagers. The members elect the two top office-bearers of the Zila Parishad- the President and the Vice-President. The other members of the Zila Parishad are as follows: Chairpersons of the Block Samitis. Members of Parliament and State Legislatures (Vidhan Sabha and Vidhan Parishad).
