1) Well drained fertile soils in the flood plain where soil is renewed every year.
2) High temperature during growth period, hot and humid climate is required.
3) It requires above 200cm rainfall.
Rice-
1) It is a kharif crop which requires high temperature and high humidity.
2) It requires rainfall above 100 cm.
3) It is grown in clayey soil.
Wheat-
1) It requires a cool growing season and bright sunshine at the time of ripening.
2) It is a rabi crop.
3) It requires 50-75 cm of annual rainfall.
