Conditions required for rice cultivation:
- It can be grown in regions which have high humidity and prolonged sunshine.
- It also needs an assured supply of water like in paddy fields.
- Alluvial soil is best suited for rice cultivation and it can be grown in temperature range of 20°C to 35°C.
In less rainfall areas, any water source (such as a stream or a water channel) can be used foe irrigation. A canal can be dug to divert the water to the rice fields in a controlled way for irrigation purposes.
Such type of farming is done in parts of Rajasthan
