Democratic reforms must be carried out by political activists, parties, and citizens and not by formulating laws at every instance.
Any change in the country should take into account political and social effects.
Laws must empower people to carry out democratic reforms.
Political reforms should include the strengthening of democratic practices.

Democracy in India can strike deeper roots if a few steps are taken, as follows:
1) Corruption has to be rooted out from politics and public life on a war footing.
2) Politics must become a part of social service in place of self service, as it is today.
3) People must be given their rightful dues in terms of benefits, food and education.
4) To win the faith and trust of people, a lot more has to be done towards improving our healthcare delivery systems, infrastructure, education and civic amenities.
