The factors are soil, climate and topography.

  • Agriculture development is affected by various natural factors. The physical factors are -

1. Topography - It considers the challenge of tilling land, soil degradation, and insufficient transportation services. Depending on the land topography usage agriculture may be mechanized.

2. Soil - Crops grow in loamy, fertile soils with adequate drainage. Crops extract food and water from soil roots. They also benefit from presence of plants. Soil productivity with poor texture and harsh chemicals is limited, bad soils, as a result, stifle plant growth.

3. Climate - Factors such as rainfall, wind movement, temperature ad humidity have a direct effect on the climate.
