Reasons for the French colonisation above Vietnam are as follows

The first main reason was to expand their market as we know that industrialisation took place very earlier in the European countries and now the European set to explain their market as their industries has started the production and they need a huge market to sell those products and to earn profit so the main reason was to expand their market

The second reason was supply raw material for their industries.

The third reason was to spread European civilization which were known as advanced Civilization in that time the motive of the French was to make the Vietnam is a part of modern world
