Feminist movement came into existence for several reasons.

Before explaining about the reason, let us understand what a feminist movement is. It is nothing but equal rights to men and women.

Feminist movement came in India to avoid sexual harassment, sexual violence, to have equal opportunities in politics, society, and even women fought against Sati (practice of widow immolation).

The term Feminism points towards 3 aspects which are “political, cultural and economic movements”.
