The three steps to taken to solve the problem of land degradation in India are as follows :

● The first step is practising afforestation, i.e., planting more trees. Also, grazing should be controlled to an extent.

● Second, planting more shelter belts can solve the problem of land degradation to some extent.

● Wastelands should be properly managed. The effluents produced mainly from industries should be discharged properly.
