1.The number of electrons depend on the formula 2n²,where n is the number of shell.

2.The outermost shell except K shell can not have more than 8 electrons.

k shell contain 2 electron
l shell contain 8 electron
m shell contain 16 electron
n shell contain 32 electron

it is a electron contain in each of shell no more than that.we want more we need to gain or lose the electron.
