Explain any five legislative functions of the Indian Parliament.

The five legislative functions of Indian Parliament are:

i)


The Parliament has the right to frame laws  for the whole country . It can frame laws and amend  or  repeal them on all the 97 subject mentioned in the union list.


(ii)

The Parliament can frame laws on all the 56 subjects mentioned  in the concurrent list.


(iii)

Under special circumstances the Parliament get the right to frame laws on the subject mentioned in the State list.



(iv)

The Residuary powers are under the control of the Central Government . The Parliament has the power to frame laws on all the subjects  which are not mentioned in any of the three list- the Union list, the  State list & the  Concurrent list.


(v)

The Parliament can frame laws  to enforce treaties and agreements  entered with the foreign States.
