Asexual reproduction produces individuals that are genetically identical to the parent plant. Roots such as, corms, stem tubers, rhizomes, and stolon undergo vegetative reproduction. Some plants can seeds without fertilization via apomixis where the ovule or ovary gives rise to new seeds.
