An assertive sentence is a sentence that states a fact. Such sentences are simple statements. They state, assert, or declare something. Examples: Jan is a student.

it is a type of sentence which express a specker's +ve or -ve sentence ......or it is based on the structure sub+verb+ .....
e.g he is a good student .... here he +is ......and there is no negative word or it is not a negative sentence...
