input device =1) keyboard and mouse- accepts input from a user and sends that data (input) to the computers. It cannot receive and reproduce (output) sound sent by other devices.
2) microphone- receives sound generated by whatever it is pointed at ( input) and sends that sound to the computer. it cannot receive and reproduce ( output ) sound sent by other devices .
3)webcam- receives images generated by whatever it is pointed ( input ) and sends those images to a computer. it cannot receive and reproduce ( output ) images sent by other devices.

output device=1) monitor- receives data from a computer( output ) and display, information as text and images for users to view. it cannot accept data from a user or other source and send that data to another device.
2) projector- receives a data from computers ( output ) and displays, or projects, that information as text and images onto a surface , like a wall or a screen. it cannot accept data from a user or other source send that data to another device.
3) speakers- receives sound data from computer or other devices ( output ) and plays the sound for user to hear. it cannot accept sound generated by users and send that send that sound to another device.
