The main sources of soil pollution are the wastes from the Industries and the mining. The industries dispose of the toxic materials and chemicals which pollutes the soil and the water simultaneously. The coal and mining industries, metal processing industries and the engineering industries also contribute to pollution the soil. The chemical fertilizers, pesticides and the insecticides used in the cultivation of crops also pollute and degrades the quality of the soil.
