• The strength of this type of magnet is constant and can't be changed.

• The north and south polarity of this type of magnet is fixed and can't be changed.

Electromagnet:-

• An electromagnet is a temporary magnet. It's magnetism only lasts till the current flows through it.

• It's magnetic field is very strong.

• The strength of this type of magnet can be changed by changing the number of turns of coil and by changing the current in coil.

• The polarity of this type of magnet can be changed by changing the direction of current in the coil.
