Tuberculosis:
Tuberculosis is caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis bacteria. There are many factors which stimulate the formation of TB. Socioeconomic condition, inappropriate hygienic measures are some of them. BCG vaccine can prevent TB.
Tuberculosis is usually treated by antitubercular drugs such as Isoniazid, Rifampin, Pyrazinamide, Ethambutol, and Streptomycin. Symptoms includes low grade evening fever, lymphadenopathy, cough, etc.
Diphtheria:
Caused by Corynebacterium Diphtheria. The symptoms are membranous patches on the tonsils, fever, throat pain etc. It is usually treated by broad spectrum antibiotics. Socioeconomic condition, inappropriate hygienic measures are causative factors. DPT vaccine can prevent it.
