When the total force applied on a body/object (may be from multiple directions) is equal to zero, it is known as a balanced force.

To further understand this concept, here is an example-

Study the given diagram

We can see that the force from the East is equal to the force from the West.
Since they are opposite forces, they cancel each other.

20N-20N = 0

Since total force is zero, we can say that the object experiences a balanced force.

the equal & opposite  forces acting on a body which on addition gives zero are called balenced forces
