Have you visited a brewery? Vats of beer fermenting. Batch process.

Have seen plastic bag extrusion? Resin goes in one side. Plastic bags come out the other. The machine could run for weeks at a time. Continuous process.

Continuous production is called a continuous process or acontinuous flow process because the materials, either dry bulk or fluids that are being processed are continuously in motion, undergoing chemical reactions or subject to mechanical or heat treatment. Continuous processing is contrasted with batchproduction.

Batch processing is the execution of a series of jobs in a program on a computer without manual intervention (non-interactive). Strictly speaking, it is a processing mode: the execution of a series of programs each on a set or "batch" of inputs, rather than a single input (which would instead be a custom job).
