The "battle of Buxar" was fought between the "East India Company" lead by "Hector Munro" and the combined army of "Shah Alam II, the nawab of Awadh- Shah-a-dhula" and the "Nawab of Bengal- Mir Qasim" on "22 October 1764". The "East India Company" won and then the "Treaty of Allahabad" was signed between the two sides "12 August 1765". A new "dual system of governance" was set up according to which the diwani rights were given to the company.
