The Battle of Plassey was one of the major incidents took place at Palshi which was fought between the East India Company led by Robert Clive and Nawab of Bengal.
The troubles between Robert Clive and Siraj-ud-daulah led to the battle of Plassey.
Robert Clive bribed Jafar, the chief commander in Nawab's army and also promised him to make his as a Nawab of Bengal. Robert Clive defeated the Nawab at Plassey in 1757 and captured Bengal.
