The black hole of Calcutta was a prison in the Fort William where the troops of the Nawab of Bengal, “troops of Sirajud-Daulah” held the British accused held in the war for a night in the year 1756 on the 20th of June.
During these times the revolt was just uprising against the Britishers.
A common nationalist feeling was turning into the form of a revolt which was to be fought against the Britishers unitedly.
