Different blood groups are determined by the antigens attached to the blood cells.
The cells of a person having blood group A has antigen for it and similarly a person with blood group B has a different antigen.
But a person with blood group O does not have any antigens attached to the cells.
A and B are the dominant alleles while O is recessive and thus O is expressed only in homozygous condition.
While A and B can be expressed in heterozygous condition also.
When both the alleles A and B are present together, then both are expressed that is they show codominance.
